Call for Contributions for Workshop on

Quantum Communications and Information Technology (QCITÕ15)

 http://www-mobile.ecs.soton.ac.uk/events/GC_15_QCIT_CFP_03.htm

At IEEE GlobecomÕ15, San Diego, CA, USA, 6-10 December 2015

http://globecom2015.ieee-globecom.org

The Quantum Communications and Information Technology (QCITÕ15) workshop is dedicated to explore the new opportunities for application of communications theory and technologies to quantum technology.

Over the last decade, a variety of physical quantum computing devices (called qubits) has been demonstrated and used for fundamental experiments in laboratories. Results confirm feasibility of real applications in quantum communications and information related fields. Very few specific applications, like a quantum technology based random number generator, are already available on the market. However, the step from a quantum technology based device (qubit) to a real system running a communications or information processing task has not completed yet. Moreover, it shows a lot of opportunities to contribute with knowhow, technologies and engineering out of communications areas.

It is the aim of this workshop to connect people from academia and industry to discuss about theory, technology and applications and exchange ideas and move efficiently forward in the engineering and development of this exciting new field.

Topics include (but are not limited to) the following

á       RF technology and control

á       Coding Theory

á       Communications and information theory

á       Photonic communications technology

á       Interconnection and complexity theory

á       Error correction

á       RF based programming and algorithms

á       Modeling and simulation

á       Systems architecture

á       Optimized algorithms and applications

á       Experimental results

á       Control instrumentation

Submission info for camera-ready manuscripts

Original and unpublished regular papers or extended presentation abstracts are solicited from the above-mentioned areas. Regular papers have a length of 4 to 6 pages with an optional payable 7th page, they get peer reviewed and published in the workshop proceedings and after presentation in the IEEE Xplore. Extended presentation abstracts have a length of 1 to 2 pages, they will be reviewed by the scientific program committee and published in the workshop proceedings, but not in IEEE Xplore. Templates for the manuscripts can be downloaded from:

http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

The formatted manuscript should be electronically submitted as pdf via EDAS:
